If youﾕve never experienced a germanium soak or a radium stone bath, youﾕre probably a little anxious about what it involves. This section provides a general overview of the Special Course.
1Welcome!
On your first visit to Atatameya, you will have a brief counseling session with the staff before starting treatment. This is your chance to ask all your questions about dieting and health improvement. Our specialists will be happy to provide you with individualized advice.
2First stepﾑdrink plenty of fluids!
Please drink our Super Mineral Drink to improve the effectiveness of the treatment. The Super Mineral Drink contains an excellent balance of essential minerals such as the miniscule amounts of metals that are difficult to provide to your body in daily life. By drinking the Super Mineral Drink before treatment, the effectiveness of the detoxification process will be improved.
3The temperature of your hands and feet will be checked.
We will check the temperature of your hands and feet using a radiation thermometer which shows the temperature instantly using a laser.
4You will be shown to the locker room.
You will be asked to change into a bathrobe. We provide the use of bathrobes and towels free of charge. The treatment is generally more effective when you remove your underwear. However, if you feel uncomfortable or are on your period, please feel free to use the disposable underpants provided for you. Since you will be perspiring heavily during the treatment, we also provide makeup remover wipes. We recommend checking your weight and body fat at this time for reference.
5You will take a quick shower.
In order to maintain hygienic conditions for all our customers, we ask that you wash off your hands and feet in the shower before your treatment.
6Time to start the treatment!
First you will experience a germanium soak. You will soak your hands and feet 20 minutes as you relax and inhale highly concentrated oxygen. Atatameyaﾕs germanium soak is an original combination of organic germanium, radium ore, and aurastone which is not available at any other spa. A 20-minute soak is equivalent to two hours of aerobic exercise! You will be amazed at the amount of perspiration that comes out of your body! Please give it a try and see for yourself!
7Second fluid replenishment.
You will be asked to drink some water to prevent dehydration due to heavy perspiration during the treatment.
8You will be asked to move to stone bathing bed.
The next treatment is the radium stone bath. You will be asked to lie down on your back in a far infrared ray dome-shaped bed lined with radium for 20 minutes. As you perspire profusely, the toxins and waste products will be washed out of your body and your skin will become silky smooth.
9Third fluid replenishment.
Even though itﾕs your third drink, youﾕll be able to drink it right down!
10Cupping therapy or body care
Cupping Therapy
This time you will lie face down and take off the top portion of your bathrobe. The cupping therapy will help to further cleanse your blood.
Body Care
You will move to the body care bed and lie down. You will receive a hand massage using broad strokes to manipulate your muscles, relieving stress and tension in the body and improving lymphatic circulation.Warming the body before treatment creates a synergistic effect, so that toxins can be eliminated more efficiently.

Now check your weight and body fat again. Youﾕll probably be surprised at how much your body has changed! We have a Relaxation Room at the Atatameya Shinjuku Main Branch. Skin lotions and hair dryers are also available in the room, so please drop by to cool down in after our treatments.
12Checkout time.
